Tristan is suddenly all about the SHOES. He has three pairs- tennis shoes, blue crocs, and velcro sandals. He will spend what seems like hours making us change his shoes. "Shoes?" he says, over and over. If he can't find a pair he'll go to his room and cry because he can't open his dresser drawers (where he thinks they might be.) You'll walk in to check on him and he'll be pulling with his body weight to get into the drawer (no, he can't possibly pull the thing over. I don't think *I* could pull it over.)
He also has firm opinions about what shoes we should wear. Yesterday he insisted that I change mine before work (thankfully, his choice worked just as well with my clothes.) Today I took him to my closet and told him to pick some out for me. The first choice was too dressy and I asked for different ones, so he picked an entirely appropriate pair. Then he stares at your feet to be sure he's satisfied. I waited too long before leaving the house though, and he brought me an alternate pair. Thanks kid! I was having problems getting out the door because my shoes weren't right. All fixed now! |
